Using Music in Play Therapy

Our family has always been music lovers and it has always been great therapy for all members of the family at all ages. We have a karaoke system that attaches to the television. The younger babies who can't read the lyrics just sing whatever words they want to make up or sing with an older person. It is a lot of fun and even better when we dance as we sing our songs. We encourage music and dance. It uses a lot of energy which is an anger releaser. Plus, laughter brightens everything! I believe this to be a wonderful play therapy session. Any time we have anger issues or are just having a "bad" day, we simply plug into instant happiness.
